Water Softener Systems

Hard water contains more minerals than soft water, specifically calcium and magnesium. Mesa, Arizona’s water is some of the hardest water in not just the southwest region, but in the country! The name “Water Softener” is a trade name that has been given to this type of unit because that is easier to say than a “Sodium Ion Exchange Unit”. For every ion of calcium and magnesium that is removed from the water, one ion of sodium or potassium takes its place. This leaves a slippery feeling to the water, which is called “soft”.

Whole Home Filtration Systems

Protect your home’s water supply with our whole home filtration systems, which remove contaminants and improve water quality. We offer customized installations and ongoing maintenance services.

Benefits of a Water Softener:

You will enjoy softer hair and skin
Allows soaps and detergents to easily dissolve/lather (50% less needed)
The colors of your clothing will stay vibrant for much longer
It prevents calcium from scaling up on the surface of your pipes, faucets, sinks, showerheads, and toilets
Appliances will last longer

Carbon Filtration Systems

Carbon Filtration Tanks are commonly referred to as “Water Conditioners”. They are great units on their own or in tandem with a water softener. They do not, however, soften water! The activated carbon attracts and removes thousands of various toxins aka VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compounds) from the water supply. Most importantly, it removes chlorine and chloramine from the water. The water treatment plants add this into the water to kill harmful bacteria. It works, but once the water enters your home, it is best to remove these harmful chemicals, so they do not get ingested into your body. Conditioners also help extend the life of your softening unit because chlorine and chloramine will breakdown the resin beads inside your water softening tank.

De-Scaling Systems

De-Scaling Systems are a great way to clean the water coming into your home or business. This unit does NOT soften the water though! It is a newer filtration process that removes harmful chemicals and prevents limescale build up. This conditioning process does not remove the minerals from the water, but the media in the tank changes their structure, preventing the mineral from building up on your faucets, showerheads, and all the plumbing fixtures in your home or business. There are no heavy bags of salt or potassium that need to be lifted and poured into the brine tank periodically, which makes it very convenient. It’s a good alternative to a water softener.

Drinking Water Filtration Systems

Reverse Osmosis System

This is a point-of-use, drinking water filtration system. Usually located underneath the kitchen sink or close by, it usually feeds perfectly filtered drinking water to a smaller dedicated faucet at the kitchen sink and/or to the icemaker at your refrigerator. Over the years, this system has been developed to minimize water waste. For 1 gallon of good product water produced, it wastes 1 gallon down the drain. The newer version of these systems is considered a “green” system, compared to the old wasteful systems from years ago. It is recommended to check your filters every year. Failure to maintain the system can be harmful due to contamination.

Alkaline Drinking Water Systems

This is a point-of-use, drinking water filtration system. This is similar to the above reverse osmosis system in every way, except, there are two more post filters that put the good mineral back into the water in order to increase the PH level. Water becomes very aggressive when everything has been filtered out of it. This is why you see both of these systems piped with poly tubing and not with copper lines.
